乡村医生队伍作为我国医疗保障体系的一个重要组成部分,承担着占全国80%左右的农村人口的健康保障任务,其质量的好坏,直接影响到农村初级卫生保健工作的全面开展。因此,加强乡村医生队伍建设,仍是当前农村卫生工作不容忽视的重大课题。就通州市而言,全市共有乡村医生1383人,总体上看普遍存在以下亟待解决的问题。一是文化素质偏低。通州市乡村医生队伍中,初中文化程度的人数最多,占57.7%,高中文化程度占29.57%,高中以上文化程度仅1人,占0.07%。他们近一半以上是70年代中期以前参加卫技工作的。文化水平较低,接受新知识和新技术的能力较差。二是专业知识匮乏。由于大多数乡医从事卫生工作前仅接受过较短
