2005年5月19日,中共中央政治局召开常委会议讨论了中国社会科学院党组提出的《关于贯彻落实〈中共中央关于进一步繁荣发展哲学社会科学的意见〉的报告》,与会常委同志都发表了重要意见,胡锦涛总书记特别就进一步办好中国社会科学院发表了重要讲话,指出了办好中国社会科学院应该掌握的各项重要原则和方针。这是继2003年中共中央发出《关于进一步繁荣发展哲学社会科学工作的意见》以后,中央主要领导同志就哲学社会科学工作发表的最重要意见。中央文件和中央主要领导同志关于办好中国社会科学院的讲话,是繁荣发展我国哲学社会科学工作的纲领性文件,也是办好中国社会科学院的纲领性文件。为纪念“5·19”中央政治局常委会议一周年,中国社会科学院于2006年5月19日召开座谈会,重温中央政治局常委会议精神,回顾一年来贯彻会议精神的情况,为落实胡锦涛同志关于“进一步办好中国社会科学院”的指示精神而努力。中国社会科学院党组副书记、常务副院长冷溶同志在会上发表了《按照党中央的要求,进一步办好中国社会科学院》的主题讲话(全文另发)。本刊摘要发表座谈会发言如下:
On May 19, 2005, the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a standing committee meeting to discuss the “Report on Carrying out the Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Prospering and Developing Philosophy and Social Science” put forward by the party group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. All the members of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party made the remark Opinions and General Secretary Hu Jintao specially made an important speech on further developing the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and pointed out all the important principles and guidelines that should be mastered by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. This is the most important opinion that the leading leaders of the Central Government made on the work of philosophy and social science since the CPC Central Committee issued the “Opinions on Further Prospering and Developing Philosophy and Social Science” in 2003. The central document and the statements made by the leading leaders of the Central Government concerning the success of the work of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences are both programmatic documents for the prosperity and development of our country’s philosophy and social sciences and a programmatic document for the success of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In commemoration of the first anniversary of the “5 · 19” Politburo Standing Committee meeting, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences held a symposium on May 19, 2006 to review the spirit of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, review the past year to implement the spirit of the conference, Comrades on “Further Improving the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,” the spirit of the instructions and efforts. At the conference, Comrade Leng Rong, deputy party secretary and executive vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a keynote speech (the whole thesis was published separately) in accordance with the requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to further improve the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
