生物统计学应用于农业科学的研究,在最近几十年中随着数理统计方法,遗传工艺以及电子计算机的蓬勃发展,在方法和应用上又出现了许多新的进展。最为基本而突出的进展,就是包括农学和医学在内的生物学的定量化趋势。生物科学各个领域,都正在向定量化迈进,不再以过去那种定性地描述各种生物现象为满足。而在农业科学的应用方面,单靠定性的指导,在许多场合下已经不能应付实际的需要,只有通过科学实验和调查研究加上定量的数据分析和总结,才能更为有效地解决实际问题。
Biostatistics has been used in agricultural science research. In recent decades, with the development of mathematical statistics, genetic processes and electronic computers, many new advances have been made in the methods and applications. The most basic and outstanding progress is the quantification of biology, including agronomy and medicine. All fields of biological science are moving towards quantification, no longer satisfying the qualitative description of various biological phenomena in the past. However, in the application of agricultural science, the qualitative guidance alone can not meet the actual needs on many occasions. Only through scientific experiments and investigation plus quantitative data analysis and conclusion can the actual problems be solved more effectively.
