有些研究《管子》哲学思想的人,似乎只注意到《心术》、《白心》、《内业》和《水地》等篇。因而对《管子》一书在中国哲学史上的地位估低了。且不说《形势》、《宙合》、《枢言》这些论道的名篇包含丰富的哲学思想,我以为《八观》、《问》篇也应该给以重视。这两篇作品倡导的调查研究,实在是开创了中国哲学史上实事求是的唯物主义传统。关于《问》篇,我已经有所探讨(《管子学刊》1987年第2期),这里再就《八观》说一些看法。
Some people who study the philosophical thought of “pipe” seem to only pay attention to “heart surgery”, “white heart”, “interior work” and “water land”. Thus the “pipe” in the history of Chinese philosophy in the history of the position of the lower. Not to mention the “philosophical thoughts” of the essays on “The Situation,” “Universe,” and “Pivotal Points.” I think the articles entitled “Eight Views” and “Questions” should also be taken seriously. The investigations and studies advocated by these two works really create the materialistic tradition of seeking truth from facts in the history of Chinese philosophy. As for the question Q, I have already discussed it (Journal of Guan Zi No. 2, 1987), and here I will make some remarks on the “Eight Views.”
