河蟹暂养,是将性成熟的河蟹捕捞后进行短时间暂养育肥,待价而售。但暂养过程中如管理不当,易造成大批暂养蟹死亡。其原因有以下几种: 一、生理性死亡河蟹性腺成熟后,为繁衍后代而进行生殖洄游,如继续在淡水中暂养,会造成生理失调,体内渗透压过高而死(胀死)。因此,河蟹暂养过程中,应将过于成熟的黄蟹剔除。
