三倍体毛白杨自1991年在陕试验推广以来,在北京林业大学著名教授朱之悌院士的精心指导和各级林业部门的大力支持下,经林业技术人员10余年的辛勤繁育,其速生、抗病特性已为人们共识。在西部大开发中,其在生态林业建设和林业产业化发展中的生产地位已逐步为各级领导、各公司团体和群众重视,并由此引发了三倍体毛白杨广泛的发展热潮。由此,陕西也成为全国性三倍体毛白杨的一个重要推广基地。
