贵州移动通信有限责任公司毕节分公司于1999年8月开始独立运营。现有在职员工153人,具有大专以上文化程度的占员工总数44％。分公司在全区七县一市设立了营业机构。经营网点遍布全区,自办和委托代办的营业点(厅)已达500多个。市场占有率在70％以上,网络已覆盖七县一市和全部的乡镇,以及织金洞等主要风景旅游区、西部大开发能源建设基地和贵毕高等级公路,同时国际漫游已通达全球90个国家和地区的170个移动运营网络。
