手纺亚麻是埃及最古老的工业,但这样的生产方式至今仍未改进。其生产过程是将亚麻在田野中除去麻籽,然后浸泡两周,使麻纤维与木质部分易于分离,取出干燥后,第一步用木棒捶打敲碎亚麻中木质部分,第二步刷清碎木,第三步梳去短纤维,第四步纺麻。第一、二步在室外进行,第三、四步在室内。所有作业点均无防尘措施。这种生产较集中在尼罗河三角州的一个小乡镇。本文研究目的:(1)调查手纺亚麻工人呼吸道发病情况,(2)研究在这种生产方式下粉尘浓度与呼吸道发病之间的关系。
