Objective:To study the change regular of the pressure of zagypophyseal joint of cervical spine (ZJCS) during three dimensional movements, explore the biomechanical mechanism of cervical spondylosis. Methods:To utilize the mini pressure sensor technique, four fresh adult human cervical spinal specimens (C 1~T 2) were chosen as experimental materials,to measure the pressure of ZJCS with no load and 3kg loads during three dimensional movements. Results:The pressures of both C 5~C 6 and C 4~C 5 segments are more than that of else segments during three dimensional movements, and the change regular of the pressures of ZJCS with no load was similar with that of 3kg loads. The pressures obviously changed in state of extention, left handed lateral curvature, left handed rotation when the sensor was insertedin the left sides of ZJCS,in constractly, less changed when in opposed sides. Conclusion:The pressures are related to thevarities of three dimensional movements of ZJCS.Both C 5~C 6 and C 4~C 5 segements are easy to result in osteophyma of ZJCS.
