More than 50 years ago, a shallow sea of water separated Taiwan Island from the mainland of the motherland. Although the two sides of the Strait are culturally independent, the same seed will still experience different growth processes in different soils and environments and may even produce different fruits. For half a century, although the fine arts circles across the Taiwan Strait never forget to cast their eyes on each other’s concerns, due to the ideological barriers, they each have a foggy, see-through dimness. In recent years, the specific historical conditions have made cultural exchanges between the two sides of the Strait unprecedented and frequent, and they have also provided a rare opportunity for a more in-depth understanding of each other. The most traditional spirit of Chinese calligraphy and painting plays an important role in the rising fever of art exchange.
