在刘先生的灵堂,我注意到对联用红纸写,只在底部的一小块剪为须状的纸缀是白颜色。问过当地人才知道,只有八十岁以上的高寿老人才能用红纸写挽联,因为他是走『顺头路』。灵堂内,丧舞持续了一整夜,掌鼓的歌师换了一个又一个,舞者换了一拨又一拨。到了山顶,一边是山下公路上我们的汽车,一边是向山上刘老墓穴走来的人群。我忽然发现自己站在两个世界的分界线:一边通向汽车轮上高速前进的现代都市,一边通向讲着笑话唱着山歌跳着丧舞的往日农庄。而当我们昨晚在刘老身边为他跳丧时,正是在生死两个世界的分界线上,为古代文化和现代文化的交接举行一个古老而庄严的仪礼。
