在敌占区的每场演出,我们都做了最坏准备,每个人都揣着手榴弹,必要的时候,就拉手榴弹与敌人同归于尽。八路军的文艺战士就是要豁出命、不怕流血牺牲,用文艺武器同敌人战斗。1936年秋,我因在山东济南第一中学壁报上撰写文章,批评当局对抗日运动的压制,被学校“勒令退学”。1937年夏,我决定去北平考高中,当我从济南乘车抵达丰台站后,看到站台上满是全副武装的日本兵,其中几个还持枪进入车厢盘查,气氛十分紧张。那时我才知道,“卢沟桥事变”已经爆发。
