乙基氰乙基纤维素—苯乙烯溶液在浓度足够高时,形成胆甾型液晶体系。自由基引发苯乙烯聚合,得到乙基氰乙基纤维素—聚苯乙烯复合物。该复合物既保持了乙基氰乙基纤维素的结晶结构,又保持了聚苯乙烯的无定形结构。然而,在各向同性状态下聚合得到的复合物中,乙基氰乙基纤维素以球状晶粒的形式分散在聚苯乙烯相中。在各向异性状态下聚合得到的复合物中,乙基氰乙基纤维素以圆柱状晶粒的形式分散在聚苯乙烯相中,并在更高结构层次上形成局部取向的层状结构。
Ethyl cyanoethyl cellulose-styrene solution at a sufficiently high concentration to form a cholesteric liquid crystal system. Free-radical polymerization of styrene results in ethyl cyanoethyl cellulose-polystyrene composite. The composite not only retains the crystalline structure of ethyl cyanoethyl cellulose, but also retains the amorphous structure of polystyrene. However, in the composite obtained by polymerization in the isotropic state, ethyl cyanoethyl cellulose is dispersed in the polystyrene phase in the form of spherical crystal grains. In the composite obtained by polymerization in the anisotropic state, ethyl cyanoethyl cellulose is dispersed in the form of cylindrical grains in the polystyrene phase and forms a locally oriented layered structure at a higher structural level.
