The White Paper on the Situation of Human Rights in China, released by the Information Office of the State Council, makes it clear for the first time in more than 40 years after the founding of New China brought human rights conditions in China to the forefront. This white paper uses irrefutable facts and sufficient reasoning to clarify the Chinese government's basic views and policies on human rights issues and briefs on the tremendous achievements made by the People's Republic of China in improving the human rights conditions since its founding.
