[Objective] To investigate the expression and significance of APC, β-catenin and CyclinD1 in human glioma. [Method] The expression of APC, β-catenin and CyclinD1 in 48 gliomas and 11 normal brain tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry Envision two-step method. [Results] The positive rates of APC, β-catenin and CyclinD1 in normal brain tissue and glioma group were significantly different (100% vs 20.8%, 0 vs 79.2%, 0 vs 87.5%, P <0.05) There was a positive correlation between the expression of β-catenin and CyclinD1 in gliomas (r = 0.427, P <0.05). There was a negative correlation between the expression of β-catenin and APC (r = -0.621, P <0.05). [Conclusion] The low expression of APC, high expression of β-catenin and CyclinD1 in glioma may play a role in the development of glioma.
