亨利·法布尔出生于法国南部一个贫穷的农民家庭。上小学时,他的口袋里从来没有少过蘑菇、蜗牛或其他植物、虫类。14岁时,法布尔外出工作以维持生计,虽然身处困境,法布尔却没有放弃对知识的追求。从师范学校毕业之后,法布尔开始了自己的教师生涯。他坚持自学,先后拿到了自然科学学科、物理学科的学士学位,31岁时法布尔还获得自然科学博士学位。他认为:“学习这件事不在乎有没有人教你,最重要的是在于你自己有没有悟性和恒心。”

Henry Fabre was born in a poor peasant family in southern France. In elementary school, he had never had less mushrooms, snails or other plants and insects in his pocket. At the age of 14, Fabre went out to work to earn a living, and Fabre did not abandon his quest for knowledge, despite his predicament. After graduating from normal school, Fabre began his own teaching career. He insisted on self-study, has received a bachelors degree in natural sciences, physics, Fabre also received a doctorate in natural science at the age of 31. He thinks: “Learning this matter does not care if anyone teaches you, and most importantly, is that you yourself do not have the understanding and perseverance. ”
