带式制动器用于需要较大制动力矩的设备上往往操纵劳动强度很大,但松边行程短,拉力却不足。导致制动时制动力矩小,制动过程长,松闸时制动带与制动轮脱开不彻底,甚至处于半制动状态,使设备传动效率降低,能耗损失严重,制动带过早磨损损坏。通过长期观察分析发现:在制动的初始阶段,并不需要过大的松边拉力,所需的最大值是在临近制动的终了阶段。如用简单杠杆作增力装置,由于i值恒定不变,将造成制动开始阶段拉力尚有富余,而终了阶段拉力又不足的局面。因此这种增力装置不能同时兼顾行程与力均达最佳。
