戏文流传广奇案说话长几十年来,一齣名曰《杨乃武與小白菜》的戏文,在我国民间以多种形式演唱传播,十分脍炙人口。它是根据清朝末年轰动一时的一件“奇案”改编而成的。做为一台戏剧,当它以艺术的形式出现在舞台上的时候,无疑经过了精心的编排加工,不可能也不应该是事实的原封照搬。那么,这一案件的本来面目究竟如何呢?出於探源的好奇,也出於研究的需要,笔者不止一次地出入於紫禁城。承蒙原故宫博物院明清档案部工作人员的热诚协助,在浩瀚繁钜的清廷刑部档案中,查到了许多宝贵的原案资料。阅读思索,饶有兴味,故乘记忆犹新,不揣浅陋,
In the past decades, a famous essay called “Yang Naiwu and Chinese cabbage” has been widely acclaimed in many forms in China. It is based on a sensational “odd case” adapted from the late Qing Dynasty. As a drama, when it appears on the stage in the form of art, it undoubtedly has been elaborately orchestrated and can not and should not be copied in fact. So, what is the true appearance of this case? For the sake of curiosity, but also for the needs of the study, the author more than once out of the Forbidden City. Thanks to the dedication and assistance of staff members of Ming and Qing Archives of the Palace Museum, many precious original materials were found in the archives of the criminal court in the Qing court.
