In the molecular basis of cancer research, it was found that the common feature of a large number of tumors is that their c-myc gene has been activated. However, the c-myc gene is also expressed in normal germ cells. To understand the nature of abnormal activation of the c-myc gene in tumor cells, it is first necessary to know how it is regulated under normal conditions.
