Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) was used as a coherent light source to generate coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) for the quantitative determination of traces of benzene and its derivatives in liquids. Sensitivity better than 10ppb, the time resolution of 20ns.
