The project aims to transform two residential buildings in Shanghai's former French Concession into serviced apartments. The design range includes architecture, landscape and interior design in the context of urban renewal and urban greening, transforming the original building into a high-end, small apartment. This type of dwelling quickly became the dominant type in the early stages of increased urban density. Its emergence triggered the beginning of the 1980s “vertical explosion of cities”
