4月的包头多了几分凝重,SARS像拨不散的乌云,笼罩在每个人的心头。在这种特殊时期,一位预备役军官带领包头市中心医院全体医护人员,冲锋在抗击非典的第一线,用行动实践了党和军队赋予的光荣使命,他就是包头市中心医院院长、驻包头市某预备役团卫生队副队长、中校医师刘国荣。3月底,内蒙古地区出现首例SARS患者。刘国荣作为一院之长,凭着他多年的医疗工作经验和一名军人的敏感性,断定抗击非典战斗不久必将打响。在此之前,他先后多次召开党委会议,分析研究预防非典的对策和措施,做了大量疫情预防的前期准备工作。
