本文作者是世界知名的梨树研究权威专家,1982年曾来我国考察访问过。刊载于1981年国际梨树会议论文集的这篇文章,对当代世界最大的梨树种质库的沿革、规模和成绩作了简明的介绍。该库为梨的种质资源国际合作研究提供了良好的场合和条件,吸引了世界许多学者来此进行了专门性的合作研究。文中汇集了这些学者对种和品种的重要性状,特别是抗性、耐性的评价、利用所作的贡献;提供了建库方向、任务和收集、保存的一些有益经验;指明了研究的空白点及今后的努力方向,可供国内深入开展果树种质资源研究的借鉴和参考。文中有关东亚梨种及其分类还有值得商榷之处。
The author of this article is the authoritative expert on pear tree research in the world and visited China in 1982. This article, published in the Proceedings of the International Pear Tree Conference in 1981, gives a concise introduction to the history, scale and achievements of the largest pear tree genebank in the world. The library provided a good occasion and conditions for international cooperation in pear germplasm resources research and attracted many scholars from all over the world to carry out specialized cooperative research. The paper summarizes the scholars’ contribution to the important traits and especially the resistance and tolerance of the species and breeds. It also provides some useful experiences on the direction, tasks, collection and preservation of the reservoir. It also points out the gaps in the study and the future Efforts for the direction of domestic fruit tree germplasm for further research and reference. The text of the East Asian pear species and its classification is still debatable.
