2014年1月下旬以来,以阿根廷和土耳其为首的新兴市场经济体的货币发生大幅贬值。其中阿根廷比索仅在1月最后一周对美元贬值就超过15%,跌至七年以来最低点,当月跌幅达22%,土耳其里拉同期的贬值幅度超过9%。其他一些新兴市场经济体也遭遇了类似的境遇。
Emerging market economies, led by Argentina and Turkey, have seen sharp depreciation in currencies since late January 2014. Among them, the Argentine peso only devalued against the U.S. dollar by more than 15% in the last week of January, its lowest level in seven years, a drop of 22% in the month and a devaluation of more than 9% in the Turkish lira over the same period. Other emerging market economies also encountered similar situations.
