On January 10, AT & T and Guangdong Provincial Posts and Telecommunications Administration signed a contract worth over 150 million U.S. dollars at AT & T headquarters in New Jersey. AT & T will provide the Guangdong Postal and Telecommunications Administration with state-of-the-art commercial network infrastructure including multiple AT & LT 5ESS®-2000 switching systems for local and payphone towers, ultra-high speed fully synchronous digital transmission system (SDH), digital cross-connect Systems, Network Operations Systems, Systems Integration for Complex Business Problems, Fiber Optic Cables and Other Equipment.
