2014年8月2日,柏林,第20届世界翻译大会在此举行。中国文学翻译家许渊冲荣获国际翻译界最高奖项“北极光”杰出文学翻译奖。这是“北极光”杰出文学翻译奖首次颁给亚洲翻译家,也是第一次把目光投向中国。已经93岁的许渊冲老人没有去颁奖现场,他选择以一封优雅的英文信书面答谢。在欧洲聚光灯闪耀的时刻,他仍坐在北大畅春园的小屋里,继续翻译莎士比亚的“四大悲剧”……
Berlin, August 2, 2014 The 20th World Congress of Translators was held here. Xu Yuanchong, Chinese literary translator, won the highest award in the international translation field for the prize of “Northern Lights” Outstanding Literary Translation.
