根据林业部的统一部署和要求,我省为查清主要树种的主要病虫种类及其分布范围,提高防治森林病虫害的科学水平,有效地保护森林资源,促进林业发展,从1979年底至今年6月开展了全省森林病虫普查工作。各级领导对这次普查都很重视。省林业局成立了森林病虫普查技术指导组,各地、市林业局和林管局也建立了相应的技术指导机构。全省抽调了三百多名专职人员,组成了28个普查队,跑遍全省山区、丘陵、坝上和平原。经过两年半的努力,普查工作已经结束,取得了下述成绩:
