一机部、冶金部于1978年4月5日至10日在大庙铁矿联合召开了CTC14·2型双机轮胎式采矿凿岩台车和CTJ700·3型轮胎式掘进凿岩台车鉴定会议。这两种凿岩台车均系一机部1974年前后下达的新产品研制项目,前者由南京战斗机械厂,长沙矿山研究院、梅山铁矿、大庙铁矿,后者由宣化风动机械厂、马鞍山矿山研究院、长沙矿山研究院、梅山铁矿、大庙铁矿等单位研制的。样机在梅山铁矿和大庙铁矿进行了较长时间的工业性试验。
