中国海關與中法戰爭是科學出版社不久前(本年五月)出版的一本新書,它是由对外貿易部海關總署研究室編輯的。這本書的出版應該受到近代史工作者的熱烈歡迎。本书是帝国主義與中國海關的第四編,也是最先出版的一編。我們雖然還不能確知其餘各編的具體内容,但從巳出版的這一編的體例看來,它以翻譯公佈旧中国的海关檔案為主,使廣大的近代史工作者從此能够利用那些保密数十年之久的重要资料,由此我們大體可以相信帝国主义与中國海关將是一部對近代史的研究非常有用的資料书。在歡迎這部書的第四編出版問世之際,我們對於全书也寄予殷切的期待。凡是對中國近代歷史具有普通常識的人,都能知道旧中国的海關完全是為帝國主
The Customs of China and the Sino-French War were a new book recently published by the Science Press (May this year) and edited by the General Administration of Customs of the Ministry of Foreign Trade. The publication of this book should be warmly welcomed by modern history workers. This book is the fourth series of imperialism and Chinese customs, is also the first to be published in a series. Although we can not yet know the exact contents of the remaining chapters, it seems from the system that has been published that it is mainly based on the translation and publication of customs archives in old China, enabling modern modern history workers to make use of those secrets Ten years of important information, so we can generally believe that imperialism and China Customs will be a very useful information book on the study of modern history. As we welcome the publication of the fourth edition of this book, we also look forward to the book with great anticipation. Those who have common sense in modern Chinese history can all know that the customs of the old China were entirely for the imperialists
