今年7月,梅江、蕉岭、丰顺、五华等4县(区)被中共中央党史研究室确认为原中央苏区县。这样,梅州市的8个县(市、区)全是原中央苏区县,再加南雄、饶平、龙川3个县(市)中央苏区县,我省共有11个原中央苏区县,和江西、福建的中央苏区县连成了一片。这是对原中央苏区辉煌的革命历史的确认。在土地革命战争年代,中央苏区人民在中国共产党的领导下,为建立人民的政权,为翻身求解放,敢为天下先,抛头颅,洒热血,前赴后继,艰苦奋斗,勇往直前,留下可歌可泣的篇章。中央苏区是共和国的摇篮,共和国从这里走来!
