上世纪80年代初,盆景爱好者制作盆景的树材几乎全部来自于山野采挖的“生桩”。笔者也曾是一名野外寻桩的积极参与者,连干径0.5厘米的幼苗也采回来培植过。当时完全没有环境保护的概念,潜意识地以为野桩是采不完的。而对于“苗木扦插”的理解,仅限于将修枝整形时剪下的嫩枝柔条随手插于土中或盆中,成活后用来制作小品,以应酬向我索要盆景的朋友或爱好
