The book consists of two volumes, co-authored by the then-best pianist Walter Giesinger and his teacher Carl Limer, with the first volume titled “A Shortcut to Being a Perfect Pianist”, the second titled “ Rhythm, motivation, pedal and piano playing ”. Based on the analysis and study of a large number of piano works, the author guides the students to read the music scores and imagines that each piece of work is not just a series of notes, but as a coherent Music structure to understand, and how to relax touch keys, training listening, excluding all unnecessary movements. His unique exercises include rhythm, motivation and short phrases, which are not only good for pianists but also inspired by other instruments. Most chapters of the book give a great deal of technical guidance and practice on touch keys and pedals, an essential tutorial for everybody who practices piano techniques.
