毛白杨是我省乡土树种,适应性强,生长快,材质好.群众喜爱.但由于每年春季干旱缺雨,扦插育苗成活很低.为了解决毛白杨扦插育苗难的问题,近几年来我们采用大官杨,加杨作砧木,毛白杨作接芽,夏季“串串”芽接,翌春把砧木截成插穗育苗、比扦插育苗耐干旱,成活高.移栽后生长快、抗病害.据1982年1O月10日调查1977年夏季嫁接,1978年春育苗, 1980年春移植,1982年最高生长达8.8米,胸径12.3匣米.
