盖(平)庄(河)线的盖平县小石硼养路工区,负责养护51.170公里公路。这段山区公路,系用级配碎石和卵石铺装,平均每日有汽车60辆次、胶铁车近百辆次。解放后刚开始养护时,是用当地材料,采取干撒磨耗料的办法。但经过风吹、车轮磨损,所撒的磨耗料,不到十天半月就都光了。这种保养方法使路面呈现的坑槽、露骨、浮石、搓板等现象得不到解决。1956年起开始用砂、石、土进行级配拌合的方法,灵活地、综合地运用在加铺磨耗层和保护层上。1956年5月以来所加铺的磨耗层和保护层,经过近十个月、45,000辆次车辆的行驶
