On the Pacific Missile Range off the coast of California, United States, the first aerial launch of a tactical Tomahawk missile was conducted. Figure 1 shows General Dynamics’ sea-launched misshapen Tomahawk mounted on the Grumman A-6A. Tomahawk missile main design goal is to install nuclear warhead strategic missile.
