舞蹈是用人类自身的形体动作和思想感情来表现社会生活的人体动态文化,通过运动中人体的形态和神态来传情达意,抒发情感。早在史前时期,我们的祖先,就用“手之舞之,足之蹈之”来表达他们的思想感情了。那时的舞蹈活动就几乎渗透到人类活动的一切领域:劳动、战争、祭祀、娱乐、性爱等。人类是舞蹈的创造者、表演者和传承者,因此在舞蹈中必然积淀着人类行为的演进和发展的痕迹。如果我们从人类和艺术的关系这个角度来研究民间舞蹈的特性和发展规律,就会发现民间舞蹈和民俗有着十分密切的关系。
Dance is the human body’s dynamic culture of social life, which is expressed by human’s own body movements and thoughts and feelings. Through the human body’s form and demeanor in the movement, it is used to express feelings and express emotions. As early as in prehistoric times, our ancestors used the words “dance of hand, dance of foot” to express their thoughts and feelings. Dance activities at that time almost penetrated into all fields of human activity: labor, war, worship, entertainment, sex and so on. Human beings are the creators, performers and inheritors of dance. Therefore, the dance must inevitably trace the evolution and development of human behavior. If we study the characteristics and development of folk dance from the perspective of the relationship between mankind and art, we will find that there is a very close relationship between folk dance and folklore.
