我国茶树选种的历史,虽然可追溯到唐、宋时代,甚至西晋。但是,千百年来,由于种种原因,茶树育种处于自发状态,只是在小区域内进行,各地发展也很不平衡。就全国而言,茶树良种未能发挥其应有的作用。有组织有计划地开展茶树育种工作,还是解放后从五十年代开始的,近两个年代逐步引起重视而得到不断发展。
The history of tea selection in our country can be traced back to the Tang and Song dynasties and even the Western Jin Dynasty. However, for thousands of years, due to various reasons, the tea tree breeding is in a spontaneous state, only in a small area, and the development in various places is also very uneven. As far as the whole country is concerned, tea seed varieties have not been able to play their due role. Organized and planned tea tree breeding work, or liberation from the fifties onwards, the last two decades and gradually attracted the attention of continuous development.
