1 Scope 1.1 This standard applies to the inspection of ferromagnetic materials made of pressure vessel forgings and high-pressure fasteners surface and near-surface defects. 1.2 This standard includes dry magnetic powder, wet magnetic powder, fluorescent and non-fluorescent magnetic particle inspection methods. 1.3 This standard includes testing methods and product acceptance requirements.
