菊花是我国著名的观赏花卉之一,栽培历史悠久,通过长期的人工选择和培养,现已达3000多个品种。菊花多色多姿,深受人们喜爱。菊花大多在10月下旬开放,那时“寒花开已尽”,唯有“菊蕊独盈枝”。菊花为百花凋谢、寒气袭人的深秋增添了活力,带来勃勃生机。菊花素来以高尚、雅净、傲霜耐寒的性格受到人们的赞颂。东坡学士的“菊残犹有傲霜枝”的名句,这是对菊花性格的高度赞扬,也是对自然的真实写照。如果做霜耐寒的菊花在烈日炎炎的夏季开放,必将给酷暑盛夏带来一片清新,给大自然增光添彩。
