附设在学术研究机构中的专业图书馆,其读者结构较为单纯,绝大多数读者是本研究机构中的科研人员及数量有限的国内外同学科的专家、学子。由于读者服务对象比较固定,双方经过多年交往,对彼此的工作能力、思想性格、业务水平基本能达到相互了解的程度。而从事文献流通服务的馆员,他们工作在图书馆最前沿,在日常与读者的频繁交往中,更容易被读者所熟识、所尊重。应该说,直接从事读者服务工作的馆员往往比图书馆其它环节的工作人员,能够得到更多地展示自己创
The professional library attached to academic institutions has a relatively simple readership. The vast majority of readers are researchers and a limited number of experts and students at home and abroad who are members of this research institute. Due to the relatively fixed target audience, after years of contacts between the two sides, the two sides can basically understand each other’s ability to work, their ideological character and their professional level. Librarians engaged in document distribution services, who work at the forefront of the library, are more easily acquainted with and respected by the readers in the daily interactions with their readers. It should be said that librarians who work directly on reader services tend to be more able to showcase themselves than those at other parts of the library
