2005年,南昌荣获全国创建文明城市工作先进城市称号;2007年,南昌被《中国经济周刊》评为“中国十大和谐城市”……在这些重大事件的推动下,南昌的城市文明建设不仅加快了脚步;而且,政务环境、人居环境、社会环境也得到进一步改善。2009年11月20日,南昌城市文明又迎来一个新的契机,与天津、深圳等10个城市一起被选为率先推广“全国无烟环境促进城市项目”的城市。今年4月,南昌创建全面无烟环境立法已列入市人大常委会2010年立法计划,据南昌市疾控中心相关负责人介绍,年内将会出台公共场所禁烟规定。随着控烟新令的逼近,围绕“公共场所是否该禁烟?”、“禁烟令能否有效”的争论也在人们身边展开……策划执行本刊编辑部
