According to the basic principles of stereochemistry and the related regulations of IUPAC and IUPAC - IUB, the exact meaning of conformation and conformation is elaborated. The relationship between configuration and conformation and the corresponding stereoisomeric types is discussed. The main features that distinguish each other between configuration and conformation are given.
