我国的传统家具,从商代开始经过漫长时间的发展到了明代发展成为我国传统家具的黄金时代,清前期以后,又逐渐开始衰退。明式家具,一是指明至清前期制做的这种家具,多用优质贵重的木材雕刻制成,大多浮雕简洁,少有点缀。二是指清代制做的仿“明式家具”,从造型、做工等方面都追求明代风格,同样具有较高的价值。所谓“清式家具”主要指清康熙以后做的,已基本脱离了明
