An award ceremony was held on December 10, 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden, where the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics was presented to physicists Francois Englert and Peter W. Higgs in recognition of their theory of the source of material quality. The LHC experiment at CERN, the European Center for Particle Physics, found Higgs particles in 2012, confirming the validity of this theory. Rolf Heuer, director of CERN, stressed when CERN released this major discovery on July 4, 2012: “The world-wide joint effort has won worldwide. The tremendous success of experiments, research infrastructure, and grid computing has made this A discovery is possible. ”[1]
