Armstrong, commander of the 1969 Apollo 11 spacecraft, succinctly summarized his journey to the moon in a memorable sentence: it was a small step by myself, It is a big step for mankind. The United States lunar landing program shook the world and also shocked nearly 1 million onlookers who poured into the Florida launch site. During the lunar landing, Armstrong showed the astronaut’s cool, confident and respectable quality. He told the ground control center without any emotion, different from the Earth here, but very beautiful, and I think they would have done all this to make the world shaking. Armstrong was granted a flying license in his teens. His idol is Charles Lindbergh, a flying American hero.
