Objective To observe and study the DNA damage of radiation workers and to explore the relationship between different types of work, length of service and DNA damage. Methods The subjects were divided into control group (100 persons) and radiation group (51 persons). According to the types of work, the radiological group was divided into radiology group, intervention group and orthopedics group. According to the length of service (year) 10 ~ and 20 ~ group. Neutral single-cell gel electrophoresis was used to detect the control group and each radiotherapy group. Results There were significant differences in DNA damage between radiotherapy group and control group. Tail DNA content (TDNA%), tail moment (TM), and O liver tail moment (OTM) in radiotherapy group were significantly higher than those in control group There was significant difference between the two groups (P <0.01). The intervention group was higher than the radiology group and the radiology group was higher than the orthopedic group. Conclusion Long-term low-dose ionizing radiation can cause DNA damage to radiation workers. With the increase of seniority, DNA damage is aggravated.
