《香祖笔记》的内容包罗万象,大多为作者随手记录的零星材料。但其中所记录的某些逸人轶事和异物志怪故事不同于一般随意汇编的简短札记,其不仅具有生动的情节描写和丰富的人物刻画,还有简练含蓄的语言艺术加工。这些故事具有一定的艺术价值,可纳于明清小说的研究范围。
“Xiang Zu Notes” all-encompassing content, mostly sporadic materials the author readily record. However, some of the anecdotes recorded in these anecdotes and foreign-related strange stories are different from the general casual compilation of short notes, which not only vivid description of the plot and rich portraits, but also concise and subtle language art processing. These stories have a certain artistic value, which can be covered in the study of Ming and Qing novels.
