Recently, the “Reader’s Digest” magazine in the United States conducted a field investigation on traffic safety in 10 Asian countries and regions for a period of up to 4 months. The standard for assessing traffic safety and insecurity is the death toll for every 100,000 cars. The survey results show that the safest place is China’s Taiwan Province and Japan, Singapore ranked third. The most unsafe places are the mainland of my country, India, as well as South Korea, Indonesia and Thailand. According to the survey, the death toll from car accidents in China hit 73,000 last year, with a death rate of 600 per 100,000. In India, the death toll last year was 64,000 in a car accident, 100 times that of Japan. The death toll from car accidents in mainland China is 32 times that of Taiwan Province.
