5月11日至12日,我委在云南昆明市主持召开珠江上游南北盘江水土保持生态环境建设工程项目(第1期)可行性研究工作会议,部署开展南北盘江水土保持生态环境建设首期工程项目的可研工作。我委和云南、贵州两省水利厅以及曲靖、玉溪、黔西南、六盘水市(州)水电局等单位的代表参加了会议。珠江上游南北盘江水土保持生态环境建设工程项目区土地面积5.69万km~2,水土流失面积占土地面积的40.1%,是珠江流域水土流失最严重的地区,也是全国水土流失最为严重的地区之一。南北盘江水土保持生态环境建设是实施西部大开发战略的基础工程,是重建当地良好生态环境、保持南北盘江地区土地资源、帮助当地群众脱贫致富的迫切需要,是促进当地经济与环境协调发展、实现可持续发展的重要保障。该项目得到了水利部、珠江委和云贵两省政府及其他有关部门的高度重视。

The construction of the ecological environment of Nanping and Panjiang rivers and lakes is the basic project to implement the strategy of developing the western region. It is an urgent need to rebuild the local good ecological environment, keep the land resources in Pan-Nanjiang District and help the local people get out of poverty and prosperity, and promote the coordinated development of local economy and environment , To achieve an important guarantee of sustainable development. The project has received great attention from the ministries of water resources, Pearl River Commission, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces and other relevant departments.
