Objective To observe the change and outcome of patients with arsenic health damage. Methods A total of 440 patients diagnosed with arsenic damage were followed up after 8 years and 18 years respectively. The data of arsenic health check and environmental monitoring data were input into the computer and processed with SPSS 10.0 statistical software. Results Eight years later, the positive rate of symptoms and signs of patients was significantly higher than that of 8 years ago, and the more arsenic poisoning patients were, the more serious they were from the source. After 18 years, the survey results showed that pigmentation, hypopigmentation, skin keratosis and the number of warts decreased, but some of the survey population increased skin damage, developed into a non-healing ulcer, and even skin cancer. Conclusion Patients with mild arsenic deficiency may have a tendency to reduce skin symptoms over time. However, patients with severe arsenic damage may be difficult to recover and may even develop into skin cancer and lung cancer.
